Below you will find a photo of my show hung as well each piece and the accompanying writings I've compiled for the show. Some of them you may have seen before, but there are plenty of new pieces. <span id="goog_880538848"></span><span id="goog_880538849"></span>Enjoy!<br />

I think it came out rather nice. I might want to do something with the picture quality, but I'll work more on that later. Check it out under the "Portfolio" tab at the top of the page. I think it looks much more professional now. :D<br />
<br />
~Patrick<br />
<br />
<b>EDIT!</b> I went ahead and made a link to my old gallery page at the bottom of my portfolio (the little glowing arrow) so if you want to see a higher quality image but have to go through the grueling task of clicking on them to view individually (instead of in that nifty little viewer there) click that link to access my higher quality gallery.Patrickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13497770704102947689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8306752533122385081.post-83906400938747881982012-03-13T10:48:00.001-04:002012-03-13T10:49:27.510-04:00More UpdatingWe're approaching the final countdown of my time here at the New Hampshire Institute of Art, and its both exhilarating and terrifying to think that I'm finally on the verge of graduating. It's been a long and arduous road but I'm almost there, and that is very exciting. I'm about to begin a new stage of my life and really break out into the world as an adult.<br />
<br />
But until that time, I'm super stressed with classwork, work work and personal projects. Not to mention a fantastically wonderful boyfriend and the looming gap that we must soon face that is known as the dreaded fear of every relationship. No not rape, even worse. DISTANCE! bum Bum BUMMMMM!<br />
<br />
Seriously though I'm sure we'll weather through this short separation (we're only talking a couple of months) together just fine, I just like to psyche things up. Its fun.<br />
<br />
So check out the gallery for five new images, including another almost finished piece from my Senior Project! OOOOOOOOooooooOOOOOOOoooooh! I just know all two of you are dying for more of that haha. You'll also see a couple of pieces for my Digital Illustration III class and a piece from my Science-fiction/Fantasy class that I'm in this semester. I'm quite proud of the work I've been producing lately, even if it isn't necessarily my cup of tea. Oh and Charley (the fantastically wonderful boyfriend) worked on the cake for my Sweet Dreams piece.<br />
<br />
OH! And have some pictures of my studio from a week or so ago, back when we still had snow:<br />

Yes I'm a gangstah, don't hate. ;P<br />
<br />
Aaaaaanyways, I went to see my extended family this past weekend for my grandpa's 90th birthday party and realized that I don't have a lot of recent stuff up, so I'm changing that. Get ready for an art dump!<br />

This is my Advanced Digital Illustration final from last semester. The prompt was a young adult book cover titled <i>The Lost Dinosaur</i>. My concept was that of a science nerd and his animal rights activist girlfriend who discover a baby Brachiosaur pulled forward in time by the scientists bosses, and she convinces him to steal the dinosaur and try to get it back to his time.<br />

This is my entry for the Easter Seals Winter Wine Auction that NHIA participates in annually. Artists are required to create a piece about wine. Mine is the two elven queens of the Seelie and Unseelie courts (yes one of them is a boy). They're twins, and very flighty and jovial. The Elven summer courts are actually giant vineyards that hop across the country side, luring young humans into their depths for a night or two of revelry before vanishing without a trace. I had a lot of fun with this piece.<br />

The last piece I'm uploading today is one of the pieces from my Senior Project. I don't want to reveal all of my newest works, I'd like people to see them in person during the show instead, but I figure I need to give people at least a little taste of what's to come. This piece is the climactic scene where Cienn runs away from the rebel base and meets a giant pheonix avatar, in service of the Goddess Bitepu. He ends up talking some sense into the young Medium and bringing him back to the rebels to save the day. But right now is just the awe inspiring, terrifying moment, when he comes down from the skies to confront Cienn.<br />
<br />
So there's some newer works for you all to peruse. I'll have some stuff from my Sci-Fi/Fantasy class and my Digital Illustration III class very soon too, so stay tuned!Patrickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13497770704102947689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8306752533122385081.post-48398818079881318502011-10-19T10:34:00.000-04:002011-10-19T10:34:12.611-04:00New url and constructionsSo we're getting into the website and personal media design in my professional artist class, and as such we had to buy domain names. THEREFOR! the new name for this site iiiis:<br />

www.evendarart.com<br />
<br />
Short, simple and to the point. I like it, and I hope you do too. :)<br />
<br />
ALSO! I'm adding some pages and working around with the layout for the site for the next few days, (and maybe even finish off the forums finally?... maybe.) so things will look different and weird for a while until I settle everything in.<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by! And be sure to check back soon, my first pieces for my senior project are nearing completion, and of course I have to post some kind of preview. So stay tuned!<br />

I think its a pretty impressive transformation don't you?Patrickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13497770704102947689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8306752533122385081.post-58713941315032957452011-09-13T12:01:00.001-04:002011-09-20T17:06:40.631-04:00CASA greeting cardSo in addition to my senior project this year, the illustration department decided we needed MORE WORK too. So we have to do two community projects this year, the first one was a greeting card contest for CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children. It was a winter/holiday theme and this is what I came up with:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-r4hdvxGTYB8/Tm99-nooytI/AAAAAAAAAEU/uw0AwFbsCMM/s1600/seniorstudiocardph.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-r4hdvxGTYB8/Tm99-nooytI/AAAAAAAAAEU/uw0AwFbsCMM/s320/seniorstudiocardph.png" width="240" /></a></div>It took like three hours this morning, and I'm fairly pleased with it. There are some things I know I could probably fix if I really wanted to, but I know I'm not going to win anyways so I don't exactly care. xDPatrickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13497770704102947689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8306752533122385081.post-18244973135239768482011-09-01T17:59:00.000-04:002011-09-01T17:59:21.613-04:00FINALLY! MY FINALS!Haha yup, here they are finally, my finals for Illustration 5. I know took forever but I feel good knowing they are finally present and accounted for. Here we all go:<br />

While I still don't have my Series finals in an up-loadable format at the moment, I thought I'd at least post some of the doodles and scribbles I have on my computer to at least help stem the tide of my massive updating.<br />
<br />
I was working as a housekeeper at an inn back home this summer, and we had to leave these envelopes for tips in the rooms with out name on them. Me being the artistic person that I am tried to make them a little bit more fun. My bosses apparently didn't like them though so I had to phase them out and leave just plain old boring ones with my name on them. But I took pictures of the best ones. I thought they were super cute. Here they are:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Rg6vPWJlOeM/Tk7DdkvOemI/AAAAAAAAAC0/B2M77HE481M/s1600/IMG_0162.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Rg6vPWJlOeM/Tk7DdkvOemI/AAAAAAAAAC0/B2M77HE481M/s320/IMG_0162.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BP85sC8q3-4/Tk7DgJpCHHI/AAAAAAAAAC4/nOt7sAALn_U/s1600/IMG_0163.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BP85sC8q3-4/Tk7DgJpCHHI/AAAAAAAAAC4/nOt7sAALn_U/s320/IMG_0163.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vMEpy7qTqQg/Tk7DiBZKaSI/AAAAAAAAAC8/njL43Pd7hx0/s1600/IMG_0164.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vMEpy7qTqQg/Tk7DiBZKaSI/AAAAAAAAAC8/njL43Pd7hx0/s320/IMG_0164.JPG" width="239" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ol6jp7389kE/Tk7DkMPC8tI/AAAAAAAAADA/TjM6J-1EmLM/s1600/IMG_0165.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ol6jp7389kE/Tk7DkMPC8tI/AAAAAAAAADA/TjM6J-1EmLM/s320/IMG_0165.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--pkTZCI8dKQ/Tk7DmKba8II/AAAAAAAAADE/rHGex0rJhKA/s1600/IMG_0166.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--pkTZCI8dKQ/Tk7DmKba8II/AAAAAAAAADE/rHGex0rJhKA/s320/IMG_0166.JPG" width="239" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vW30D07ySXU/Tk7Dn0TkK5I/AAAAAAAAADI/cxM-Lk9GtSI/s1600/IMG_0161.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vW30D07ySXU/Tk7Dn0TkK5I/AAAAAAAAADI/cxM-Lk9GtSI/s320/IMG_0161.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
Then of course there were some random doodles on slips of paper:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hbqj9nAyIRc/Tk7D91UfZfI/AAAAAAAAADM/c8IyuD8b6NY/s1600/IMG_0153.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hbqj9nAyIRc/Tk7D91UfZfI/AAAAAAAAADM/c8IyuD8b6NY/s320/IMG_0153.JPG" width="239" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RgRc18QvrHc/Tk7D_l5qdtI/AAAAAAAAADQ/0G6iOY-rjpQ/s1600/IMG_0156.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RgRc18QvrHc/Tk7D_l5qdtI/AAAAAAAAADQ/0G6iOY-rjpQ/s320/IMG_0156.JPG" width="239" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-O7lzjePxNBc/Tk7EBpph5eI/AAAAAAAAADU/hedX7flFyYc/s1600/IMG_0157.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-O7lzjePxNBc/Tk7EBpph5eI/AAAAAAAAADU/hedX7flFyYc/s320/IMG_0157.JPG" width="239" /></a></div><br />
Then came the day when I had to leave, so I made a little something for each of my coworkers to remember me by:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--ik6vHO8hRk/Tk7F7VaY8aI/AAAAAAAAAEA/B_dUAU_Um1U/s1600/IMG_0187.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--ik6vHO8hRk/Tk7F7VaY8aI/AAAAAAAAAEA/B_dUAU_Um1U/s320/IMG_0187.JPG" width="320" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0VTWCrIOqcU/Tk7F3nLhq8I/AAAAAAAAAD8/w8jRiHbt-HI/s1600/IMG_0188.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0VTWCrIOqcU/Tk7F3nLhq8I/AAAAAAAAAD8/w8jRiHbt-HI/s320/IMG_0188.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-St18FZ6oqO8/Tk7F-TjY61I/AAAAAAAAAEE/NKDcWXc5CHE/s1600/IMG_0192.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-St18FZ6oqO8/Tk7F-TjY61I/AAAAAAAAAEE/NKDcWXc5CHE/s320/IMG_0192.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UliT3n9FtKg/Tk7FDc5NOpI/AAAAAAAAADs/LVVZeNkLjM0/s1600/IMG_0189.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UliT3n9FtKg/Tk7FDc5NOpI/AAAAAAAAADs/LVVZeNkLjM0/s320/IMG_0189.JPG" width="239" /></a></div><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1Vlx6cLFuXc/Tk7FKtCPWHI/AAAAAAAAAD0/Ls6T0d0c6UU/s1600/IMG_0191.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1Vlx6cLFuXc/Tk7FKtCPWHI/AAAAAAAAAD0/Ls6T0d0c6UU/s320/IMG_0191.JPG" width="239" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>And short of a map thats 3/4's finished and LOTS of concept work on my characters for my project, there isn't much else to report, at least in the form of finished pieces. But I'll get my sketches scanned and uploaded ASAP, and I HOPE (key word, hope) to be much more forward about this site in the upcoming months. Keep everything and everyone updated on how my senior project is going.<br />
<br />
Till next time my ducks!<br />

<br />
Leave me alone life is tough these days! I got a lot on my plate. Anyways I do have a little something for you guys today. The lineart for my Illustration Series final. I'm currently working on the colors for it, and they're almost done. But I don't want to post them until after I've gotten them printed and presented them to the class. So yeah there is probably going to be a HUGE art dump at some point in the near future but hey, its what I got so deal. xD<br />
<br />
Anyways here's what I got so far:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-f5kRWYo1ZRY/Ta2ITYxtQKI/AAAAAAAAACo/F0WrDeBphvg/s1600/cienn+n+cerenae.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-f5kRWYo1ZRY/Ta2ITYxtQKI/AAAAAAAAACo/F0WrDeBphvg/s320/cienn+n+cerenae.png" width="307" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mA1dIZlgkZY/Ta2IbyODqGI/AAAAAAAAACs/hS3musMXRAA/s1600/imagehi.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="314" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mA1dIZlgkZY/Ta2IbyODqGI/AAAAAAAAACs/hS3musMXRAA/s320/imagehi.png" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vS_tnJ9DFu4/Ta2IjcL-AFI/AAAAAAAAACw/Xu0fl7Z-Ddc/s1600/kain.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vS_tnJ9DFu4/Ta2IjcL-AFI/AAAAAAAAACw/Xu0fl7Z-Ddc/s320/kain.png" width="315" /></a></div>they're all images from my novel. None of them are going to be actually written out in the story (or well at least I think they won't) but they are a sort of springboard for the rest of the project. The idea is that in a war torn world like Sundast, plagued with constant grief and struggle, the moments in between are what matter. The little happiness one can find and the bonds you make are what keep you going. Each image represents one of the main or major supporting characters, and represents their closest connection and their most vulnerable and comfortable moments. Cienn and his sister Cerenae share a piece because they are in the end each others strongest confidants. Kain has his familiar, the beautiful Aludaria in her permanent aspect as the horse. And Imagehi, well she has her friends there and that nice big tankard of ale. There is actually some fairly deep, and a little bit sad, meaning behind that image. Elementals, which is what Imagehi is (elementals are those who have the ability to manipulate one of the five natural elements fully), are a fairly ostracized group of people. They're abnormally tall (all at least over 6', with the occasional 5'11" person but rarely smaller than that, usually closer to 6'5" and up) and have pupiless eyes in the color of their element. So they look a bit frightening. Imagehi finds comfort in her abnormality with big ham handed brutes who don't care cuz they too, are abnormal. So thats why most of her non-rebellion friends are barhands and pirates and such.<br />
<br />
Anyways enough of my talking. haha. Enjoy everybody! Stay tuned for more!Patrickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13497770704102947689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8306752533122385081.post-18778833099066216712011-03-02T12:55:00.000-05:002011-03-02T12:55:23.107-05:00An update on the ForumsSo I know its been months since I said the forums would be done, and there have been a slew of out-of-my-control issues that have prevented said forums from being completed. But I just wanted to make a post saying I'm sorry and that it'll be another couple of months until I can actually get them done. My computer is currently dead, and I have become swamped with digital assignments which, while easier to complete and FAR more interesting to do most times, has left me with little time to use a computer for my own personal interests.<br />
<br />
So the forums will be done someday, hopefully by the end of March but more accurately by the end of the summer, when I'll have time to work on them. Ugh. But I hope people are still liking my posts. I'm enjoying building up my online portfolio at least.<br />
<br />
I'll have some designs for my business card and a promo card soonish. And scans of my minumental piece (that didn't sell. :/) IT'S WIBLY! Trust me, you're gunna LOVE Wibly, he's the cutest little monster you ever did see. xD I think that's all I've really been working on of late. Oh! And as soon as I get it back (it's currently mounted on the wall at school. Yeah I know, I'm impressed. xD) I'll scan my first illustration project, which is going to be the start of my series. Oh! And scans of my series sketches. Guess I had more than I thought I did. xD<br />
<br />
Until next time my ducks!Patrickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13497770704102947689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8306752533122385081.post-86533463114364742792011-02-09T14:48:00.000-05:002011-02-09T14:48:29.388-05:00The Dragon of Brass - Colored, and Graphic Design woesSo over the months in my spare time I've been fiddling with coloring in my sketch of Aloquilande, the Dragon of Brass. I finished it today.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TVLuFvSb6vI/AAAAAAAAACk/vkfOzUQZ3gw/s1600/brassdragoncolor.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="179" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TVLuFvSb6vI/AAAAAAAAACk/vkfOzUQZ3gw/s320/brassdragoncolor.png" width="320" /></a></div>It was certainly a fun experience, and is totally helping me get through my graphic design class. Speaking of my graphic design class, I am not pleased with it. I feel that in week 6 I have had enough time to decide that I greatly dislike this class. Actually I'm pretty sure I hate it. My professor is completely unreasonable in his expectations of his students, and he totally likes to rip us apart during critiques. Now I'm not saying what he says isn't in the best of intentions, and I truly believe he wants our work to be up to his expectations, but its a very rough class when we spend 3 hours tearing each other apart. There's no positivity in the critiques.<br />
<br />
I'll power through, I always do, but I fear this is going to be one of my toughest classes to date. -________-'<br />
<br />
In the positive news though I've finally started writing Quiet Courage again, the first Novel of Sundast. It's such a relief to have the creative juices flowing again.Patrickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13497770704102947689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8306752533122385081.post-62984309566859009262011-01-31T13:00:00.000-05:002011-01-31T13:00:47.125-05:00Graphic Design, project 1, FinalSo to start off the new semester we have this lovely little graphic of a fox jumping for my graphic design class. I'm still with holding judgment on how much I like or dislike this class yet, but at present we're at 40% to 60% with dislike in the lead. But hey what can you do right? Anyways here's my final for the first assignment which was to create a symbol based both off of a word and an image that represented us. My spirit animal is a fox so it was kind of a done deal from the start. PLUS! I can use this as the symbol for spy mages with fox familiars. YEAH for two birds with one stone.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TUb4nd8BHrI/AAAAAAAAACc/02Z5ezBk2C0/s1600/fox+symbol.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="319" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TUb4nd8BHrI/AAAAAAAAACc/02Z5ezBk2C0/s320/fox+symbol.png" width="320" /></a></div>Patrickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13497770704102947689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8306752533122385081.post-60530837181575521852010-12-09T10:19:00.000-05:002010-12-09T10:19:36.219-05:00Quetzacoatl likes da virgins!So for my Digital Illustration final we had to pick a letter out of this book called the chocolate alphabet. It's a really messed up book, but that's besides the point. The letter I picked was Q, here's what it said:<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">Q is for Quetzalcoatl<br />
He did not come from space. He was not an alien. He did not build<br />
Toltec or even Aztec pyramids as landing beacons for flying saucers.<br />
His most obvious bad habit was a rather nasty appetite for freshly<br />
exised, still-pulsing hearts. It is not true what they say about<br />
Quetzalcoatl and the virgins. Take it or leave it.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">So from that I got this crazy image of Quetzalcoatl chatting it up with a virgin on a sidewalk. Like some horrible tabloid picture that got blown out of proportion. He wasn't going to rape and eat the little virgin, he was just telling her how much he loved her jeans. So here's what I came up with.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TQDwaZ05BjI/AAAAAAAAACQ/vcmigD_UlYo/s1600/quetzylikesdavirgins.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TQDwaZ05BjI/AAAAAAAAACQ/vcmigD_UlYo/s320/quetzylikesdavirgins.png" width="308" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: left;"></div><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Aaaaaand just for fun:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TQDwjF6zbsI/AAAAAAAAACU/1nAkKqXfne4/s1600/quetzyonastreetlol.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TQDwjF6zbsI/AAAAAAAAACU/1nAkKqXfne4/s320/quetzyonastreetlol.png" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">This was a reference image I found and I just stuck my drawing on it. I think its pretty funny actually. xD</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">The semester is almost over, and its going to be time to start cranking out stuff for art fairs. Christmas time is my craft/art fair season with my mom. She crochets and I do charicatures and try to sell some of my classwork. This year I want to make greeting cards. If I finish the images in time I'll post them up here. I also think I'm going to make coptic books, they were my favorite book style from book arts. Which reminds me I need to take photo's and post my book arts final which despite what my teacher said I'm really proud of.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Oh! One more thing, The forums should be finished within the next two weeks, now that classes are done. I hope people join and participate. I think it has the potential to be a lot of fun. Anyways, till next time kidlies, I'm off to finish my figure drawing finals. xD</div>Patrickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13497770704102947689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8306752533122385081.post-59564078793912676982010-12-08T12:12:00.000-05:002010-12-08T12:12:01.867-05:00Mural Painting ProcessSo this past summer my mother and her work hired me to paint a mural on their waiting room wall. My mom works for Family Services and they were disappointed with the plain white walls. When my mom heard they were going to buy one of those paste on the wall mural things she immediately jumped up and offered me as a more cost effective (and better) alternative. Needless to say I was very excited. I completed it in three Saturdays I think. Yeah. Two of them lasted about 3 hours I'd say, and the last only an hour, for touch ups mostly.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TP-68PEwyoI/AAAAAAAAACA/yIC5jTrVahs/s1600/0718100936-00.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TP-68PEwyoI/AAAAAAAAACA/yIC5jTrVahs/s320/0718100936-00.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>So I began by laying out the basic tree shape in charcoal. I've done a few paintings like this before (never for money though, I was really excited about that. xD) and felt like I knew what I was doing. So here are the charcoal lines.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TP-7OLDYETI/AAAAAAAAACE/i6q9xdFG2jU/s1600/0718101041-00.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TP-7OLDYETI/AAAAAAAAACE/i6q9xdFG2jU/s320/0718101041-00.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>Here is the tree painted in.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TP-7wnMzQ6I/AAAAAAAAACI/86EoBBAJlFk/s1600/0718101103-00.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TP-7wnMzQ6I/AAAAAAAAACI/86EoBBAJlFk/s320/0718101103-00.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>Next up were the leaves. They wanted something fall and festive, but also fairly graphic, so I didn't want the leaves on the tree to actually touch. Here is all the leaves put in with charcoal.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TP-8B4KiKGI/AAAAAAAAACM/uDDTonfBKik/s1600/0725101125-00.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TP-8B4KiKGI/AAAAAAAAACM/uDDTonfBKik/s320/0725101125-00.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>And here is the final mural all finished and pretty. I was and still am really pleased with it and was very excited to get to have the chance to do it.Patrickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13497770704102947689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8306752533122385081.post-79807606806100946152010-12-06T10:25:00.000-05:002010-12-06T10:25:46.388-05:00Gryphons So for my Illustration Final, the class had to choose a bird from this book "Birds with Human Souls" and in it there was a gryphon. So obviously I chose that. Only instead of choosing an eagle and a lion I decided to use american animals and really wanted to draw a half of a crane. So I did a whooping crane and a floridian mountain lion.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TP0ALtXQt4I/AAAAAAAAAB4/KnMszmva2yA/s1600/gryphonsized.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TP0ALtXQt4I/AAAAAAAAAB4/KnMszmva2yA/s320/gryphonsized.png" width="199" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TP0AO0fSGwI/AAAAAAAAAB8/69RpRmyzHvk/s1600/gryphletssized.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TP0AO0fSGwI/AAAAAAAAAB8/69RpRmyzHvk/s320/gryphletssized.png" width="320" /></a></div>Patrickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13497770704102947689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8306752533122385081.post-86416304907056632942010-12-06T10:17:00.000-05:002010-12-06T10:17:31.044-05:00Character Design, Value Studies and FinalSo here is the long awaited Character Design Value Studies and the final project from my Illustration class. It was done... I dunno a few weeks ago? But I had to pass it in and finally had a chance to get up to the digital labs and scan it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TPz8dy72ZnI/AAAAAAAAABw/zJrK1HHzDYQ/s1600/kain+values.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TPz8dy72ZnI/AAAAAAAAABw/zJrK1HHzDYQ/s320/kain+values.png" width="288" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TPz9PAavbsI/AAAAAAAAAB0/toMq4NKMdtA/s1600/kain+final.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="297" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TPz9PAavbsI/AAAAAAAAAB0/toMq4NKMdtA/s320/kain+final.png" width="320" /></a></div>I ended up deciding that magic color is based upon the spell being used. You can also see the spell lines tattooed into his skin, including the ceremonial Familiar tattoo. I was really excited about the use of my markers, they worked so well with layering. Maybe I'll make a tutorial about it sometime.<br />
<br />
Next Up: Gryphons!Patrickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13497770704102947689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8306752533122385081.post-22044254539623013972010-11-18T10:26:00.000-05:002010-11-18T10:27:57.339-05:00Digital Illustration work.OK so I know I promised I'd have the value studies from my avenues project up with these, but I haven't had a chance to scan them and this is something I can do from this one little computer. Plus the files seem to be corrupted on my flash drive. Lame right? But anyways here's the finals for all my digital projects this semester.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TOVDzDsqimI/AAAAAAAAABs/K-IGGQGY80Q/s1600/PH+portrait.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="256" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TOVDzDsqimI/AAAAAAAAABs/K-IGGQGY80Q/s320/PH+portrait.jpg" width="320" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This was my first assignment this semester, a celebrity portrait. I chose Blake Lively from Gossip Girl. Mostly because she's pretty. =D </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TOVDl1OXQSI/AAAAAAAAABo/5OCNL3NheJ4/s1600/quiver+of+cobras.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TOVDl1OXQSI/AAAAAAAAABo/5OCNL3NheJ4/s320/quiver+of+cobras.jpg" width="224" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It was followed by an assignment called Animal Collectives, where we were supposed to illustrate the term for a group of animals. Like a pod of whales or a pride of lions, only ours were more obscure. Such as a Harem of Seals or my choice, a Quiver of Cobras. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TOVCde6_OpI/AAAAAAAAABk/5rsrDkHEp6o/s1600/bareposter.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TOVCde6_OpI/AAAAAAAAABk/5rsrDkHEp6o/s320/bareposter.png" width="210" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The last project we just finished was a Theatrical poster assignment, and I got to do my favorite play of ALL TIME, Bare: a Pop Opera. I won't go into detail about the plotline and stuff, but if this poster makes you interested go google it, its pretty much the shit. My favorite part is that I put all the people I would want to play each character from my list of favorite actors and actresses. If all these people did this play I would probably die, just saying. lol.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Next Time: Avenues Character Design Value Studies and Final Illustration, Ceramics Doodles, and thumbnails for the Avenues Final: Birds with Human Souls. Also I should be finishing up the Forums and putting up the first Artist of the Month and the first Writing Challenge. Stay tuned everyone!</div>Patrickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13497770704102947689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8306752533122385081.post-70184187975895514372010-11-07T14:04:00.000-05:002010-11-07T14:04:35.680-05:00Illustration IV: Avenues, Character DesginSo for my Illustration IV class we're starting character design, and I thought this would be a perfect chance to do some work for Sundast. I've since decided to try and tackle two character designs (though I'm going to do them one at a time so if I don't get to a second it doesn't hinder my grade). But I figured I'd share the process we have to use (and the one that I do feel works well for most assignments) with everybody.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNb2Ws2tRZI/AAAAAAAAABY/paPPQT-lTL8/s1600/imagehi0002.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNb2Ws2tRZI/AAAAAAAAABY/paPPQT-lTL8/s200/imagehi0002.png" width="153" /></a></div> So I always try and start out with thumbnails (after around 15 minutes of warm up sketching to get the juices flowing in my brain and in my hand). I try my hardest to keep them simple and to the point. These are the basic layout for the character design I'm going to do. A very simple front/side/back set up that is used for a lot of video game or animation character design. The top is a design for Kourkain Admontan, the Rebel leader in my story. The bottom is for Cerenae <i>la</i>'Orater, sister to Cienn our protagonist, and the prophesied queen.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNb2fuzJg0I/AAAAAAAAABg/4UX3ieRs6cA/s1600/charactersketches0001.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNb2fuzJg0I/AAAAAAAAABg/4UX3ieRs6cA/s320/charactersketches0001.png" width="262" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNb2bJmw12I/AAAAAAAAABc/Me4yBpCAF6g/s1600/charactersketches0002.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNb2bJmw12I/AAAAAAAAABc/Me4yBpCAF6g/s320/charactersketches0002.png" width="194" /></a></div> So after the thumbnails I try to go out and get some reference images for things I'm not so sure about (this time is was wedding dress designs for Cerenae's dresses) and then proceed to do a couple detailed sketches, trying to work out compositional issues and in this case, to see who I wanted to draw first. I think I'm going to do Kain first because he's a more simple design and can be completed more quickly so that I can get started on Cerenae's design, because her dresses should be a lot of fun.<br />
<br />
<br />
Next time: Value Studies and my digital classwork.Patrickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13497770704102947689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8306752533122385081.post-74852236195237400832010-11-07T13:53:00.000-05:002010-11-07T13:53:29.954-05:00Scenes from SundastSo the story I'm working on (This is my plan for my senior Project next year so that's why I have so much stuff on this world of late, trying to get a head start.) is about a boy, Cienn <i>lun</i>'Orater, who is gay and a Medium (someone who has Mind magic, telekinisis, telepathy, stuff like that) and once his powers and sexuality is found out he has to run away from all that he's known and join the Magical Resistance that is gaining strength on the edges of Sundast's vast borders. It's got lots of twists and turns in it and I hope ultimately that it'll be good, but until then I thought I'd work on cementing the imagery. So here we have a couple of sketches of scenes (and one little character design) from the storyline. The two scenes are of Cienn and his love interest Kourkain Admontann, the Rebel Leader and a Shield Mage. So yeah.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNb0Dp7E7mI/AAAAAAAAABM/LAS7rSW0RJY/s1600/intothetemple0001.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNb0Dp7E7mI/AAAAAAAAABM/LAS7rSW0RJY/s320/intothetemple0001.png" width="206" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">This is when Cienn and Kain (Kourkain's nickname, it would get annoying to have to type his full name ALL the time) find the Temple of Prophecy and learn about Cienn's fate. It's towards the end of the first novel (yes this is a two book idea). Cienn is the shorter dark haired boy and Kain is the taller one. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNb0QfjQ6eI/AAAAAAAAABQ/6XvJa0F_C2E/s1600/onthebridge0001.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNb0QfjQ6eI/AAAAAAAAABQ/6XvJa0F_C2E/s320/onthebridge0001.png" width="217" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;"> This is one of my favorite scenes in the story so far. After Cienn meets up with his guard detail (of which Kain is part) they wind up at a small Sundastian village overlooked by the Crown, so the people there still celebrate all the illegal old holidays. At the festival Cienn and Kain share a moment under some lanterns on the bridge which sets up the mood for the rest of the love story. When I got my last assignment for my Illustration: Avenues class (a character design) this was one of my ideas that snowballed into something unusable for the assignment but still good.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNb0SyZRDWI/AAAAAAAAABU/y4HyNJHDyTY/s1600/imagehi0001.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNb0SyZRDWI/AAAAAAAAABU/y4HyNJHDyTY/s320/imagehi0001.png" width="230" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">This is Imagehi Quontinn, Water Elemental Adept and Second in Command of the Rebel forces. I thought of doing her for my character design but I've since decided against it. I liked this sketch though.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Next and last update for today: The start of my character design process.</div>Patrickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13497770704102947689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8306752533122385081.post-30512359432607136712010-11-07T13:39:00.000-05:002010-11-07T13:41:28.690-05:00The Gods of SundastMy first and most prominent and completed world is that of Sundast. A world where magic is outlawed and the Gods that used to govern their lands have been outcast by the very people who used to love them. In order to have a better idea of the story I want to tell in these worlds, I often create many things that will never make it completely into the story, but help flesh out the world itself and make it more believable. So here are some remakes (I've probably drawn the Gods of Sundast a good five or six times now) of the Gods and Goddesses of Sundast.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNbuEBKSHZI/AAAAAAAAAA8/ZxbUR84tAx4/s1600/amaldaschildren0002.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNbuEBKSHZI/AAAAAAAAAA8/ZxbUR84tAx4/s320/amaldaschildren0002.png" width="133" /></a> <a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNbt6wq4sNI/AAAAAAAAAA0/sIeoCNq-wPs/s1600/amaldaschildren0003.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNbt6wq4sNI/AAAAAAAAAA0/sIeoCNq-wPs/s320/amaldaschildren0003.png" width="145" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNbuASnWvdI/AAAAAAAAAA4/rPmmwXLFNNY/s1600/amaldaschildren0001.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNbuASnWvdI/AAAAAAAAAA4/rPmmwXLFNNY/s320/amaldaschildren0001.png" width="179" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNbwefTux5I/AAAAAAAAABA/pJexTS2bPLE/s1600/talichirischildren0001.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNbwefTux5I/AAAAAAAAABA/pJexTS2bPLE/s320/talichirischildren0001.png" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">These are the Five Great Gods of Sundast. They were here at the beginning and will be here long after the End. They are that which makes humans human and life worth living.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNbw21JviFI/AAAAAAAAABE/lSnxjfv-Z5Y/s1600/elementalgods0001.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="231" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNbw21JviFI/AAAAAAAAABE/lSnxjfv-Z5Y/s320/elementalgods0001.png" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">These are the five Elemental Gods. Created by all the Great Gods but concieved by Movek, they represent the five natural Elements found in the Sundast Universe: Air, Earth, Water, Fire and Wild. They are also the Deities responsible for the creation and survival of the Elementals, an elite race of people with the power to control the Elements. Alden's my favorite cuz he's the Lover of Movek, God of Humanity. xD</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This is the most recent addition to the Sundatian Pantheon. The One was once a Daughter of Talichiri (NOT Telperion, that's one of the two Tree's of Light from Lord of the Rings. haha. I couldn't remember the name I'd made up when I was writing this and that sounded right. My bad) But when she created demons and darkness the Great Gods cast her out into the Realm she had created. As such her power corrupted her and she became the Goddess of Revenge. She is the major villain for the story I'm writing, in which it opens and she has cast out her Heavenly family and taken up residence as the supreme Deity of Sundast.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

A world of magic and elves and mermaids and werewolves and Gods and yes, you guessed it, dragons. It wouldn't be a world created by Patrick Harrison if it didn't involve dragons some how. Now the world itself is like I said, very complex, but one of the parts of this world is the Dragon Mantles. The Mantles are seven incredibly strong powers that "settle" onto a specific individual in a generation (aka they reincarnate). They give the bearer the ability to control a specific power and turn into a completely kick ass dragon form. They provide long life for the short lived mortals and unfortunately give a time limit for the immortal species. They cure Lycanthropy and Vampirism and are just over all really bad ass. xD<br />
<br />
So the other day I decided I wanted to sketch a few of them. I got through two before I had to move onto another project but I thought I'd start by sharing them with you guys.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNbq0IXvmaI/AAAAAAAAAAg/lJtKpOFioq0/s1600/brassdragon0001.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNbq0IXvmaI/AAAAAAAAAAg/lJtKpOFioq0/s320/brassdragon0001.png" width="307" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNbq2mt7jVI/AAAAAAAAAAk/cMgaVMPrUDw/s1600/brassdragon0002.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="179" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6woU4mE6OlQ/TNbq2mt7jVI/AAAAAAAAAAk/cMgaVMPrUDw/s320/brassdragon0002.png" width="320" /></a></div>Above is Jordan Alo-quilande, the Dragon of Brass. He was a human before the mantle settled on him, and believes that Dragon Mantles grant immortality and that the Vice that each Mantle brings with it (based off the Seven Deadly Sins) is what causes the Dragons to pass on. The Brass Mantle has the power of Healing and the Vice of Pride. You can see my notes on the Dragon colors and you'll notice I'm down one color. I want it to be metallic, but not look like the other colors. I'm thinking I might go with Electrum.<br />

She was an Elf before the mantle settled on her and is ultimately bitter with her lot. The Silver dragons power is Camouflage (she can change her appearance at will) and her Vice is Anger.Patrickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13497770704102947689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8306752533122385081.post-22692925613298797412010-11-06T18:54:00.000-04:002010-11-06T18:54:06.615-04:00Major Updates!Everything is coming together wonderfully. As for more artwork I have all my current sketches tabbed and will have them scanned and uploaded hopefully by the end of this weekend.
